A large part of my initial research process within this project is to source relevant trend research, after having two tutorials at university today it has made me want to re-look and really research into key and current trend forecasts that will support my theme of lace and maybe allow me to go down different paths and directions. After spending all evening doing trend research I have finally found a trend that excites me and fits perfectly! The trend has been forecasted for SS 14 and is titled Epoch, it explores the Golden Age period, which was a period in the early 1900′s characterised by optimism and prosperity. The next stage I plan to collate further trend information and to conduct research into the ‘Golden Age’ and art nouveau aspects to get a better understanding of the back research within this trend.
Beautiful inspiration. Art Nouveau is gorgeous. Do you know about the Art Nouveau furnishings and architecture permanent exhibit at the Musée d’Orsay in Paris? It is my favourite bit of the museum, particularly the enormous architectural sketches.
